Just log in with your Twitter username & password, or send a note to @twnote to get started. It's as simple as that!
You can add tags to your notes using hashtags - e.g. #thisisahashtag. Twitnote will then convert this hashtag to a regular tag - so when you visit Twitnote, you can view your tags, search & export tagged notes, and generally induldge in the OCDness of it all!
Yes! Just sign in & click Export in the sidebar. Stick in the details of what you're after - you can narrow down searches by dates, tags & whether you have made the note public or not.
No. We value your privacy very highly and your notes will never be public unless you change an individual note privacy setting, or the general privacy settings for your account. In the Settings page we have given you the option to make all your mentions of @twnote public/private, and your direct messages as well.
Well, we've nicked an idea from google here. You can archive as many notes as you want, and it will get them out of the way for you. They'll still show up when you look at your tags and when you search - the ability to limit search & export by the archived status is coming soon, we promise!
Thanks to the external service txtlocal (which means if it breaks, it's not our fault!!), we are able to offer a UK mobile number for Twitnote. Just enter your mobile number on the Settings page and follow the instructions there to get yourself set up. It will ask you to send a verification code to verify your phone (duh), and then after that you will be able to add notes via txt. How Old School.
To send a note via txt, just text "twnote your note goes here" to +447786200690. Easy peasy.
It must be noted that this is a UK mobile number and therefore you may or may not be charged for sending it a message. We're lucky, it's in our call plan - yay!
Yes. Like tweets, your notes are limited to 140 characters. We think 140 characters is cool.
By the way, I do apologise for this FAQ getting a bit silly at times. What can I say? It's late, and I haven't had enough coffee. Plus, I have to confess nobody has actually asked any questions yet. I made them up.
